Update No. 17 DEBRIS REMOVAL

Please push all debris to the County ROW as soon as possible. The contractors are on a break for the holidays and this will give them more work after the holidays. It will be faster if the homeowners can move the debris out to the Right of Way rather than go through the PPDR.   All Right of Entry inquiries need to be directed to the Galveston County Debris information trailer located behind the County Annex in Crystal Beach.   Right of Entry Hotline (800) 679.2325

Hilltop Rescue and Relief

Hilltop Rescues and Relief will be working from the Port Bolivar Volunteer Fire Station on loop 108. This weekend 100+ volunteers will be available to assist in clearing contents, removing sheet rock and removing debris from yards.
Hilltop Rescue and Relief is a Church of Christ based volunteer group that began in 2005 with Katrina. Working with local and federal government agencies, Hilltop gave over 26,000 days of volunteer labor. You can find more information about Hilltop or register for assistance at www.Hilltoprescue.org. You may also call for assistance by calling (310) 294-1603.
In addition to the volunteer labor, Disaster Assistance will be feeding all volunteer workers and homeowners from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and will be distributing food/water and supplies from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Mike Baumgartner has been working in Galveston feeding between 800 and 1000 daily for several weeks. Come on by this weekend and get a meal and let us know if we can help you. We plan to be working daily through the Thanksgiving week. We need work!

There is No Charge for our services!
